Home!

Long long day so just a quick post. Surgery was successful. She was a little picky and obstinate at the clinic, but she’s happy to be home. She finally ate which is a relief. And walked – a little tippy but that’s ok! image

Hoping the the sleepiness lasts through the night!

  1. YAAAAAAAAAY FOR ABBY! HOME SWEET HOME!! I know you are so happy to have her home!

Try and get some sleep while you can. Stay connected and update us on how she’s doing! Recovery is no picnic!

    Love you sweet Abby!

    1. Thank you! Not really our home, but at least one she knows. We’re been temporarily living in a 3rd floor apartment while remodeling our house and I know we can’t handle those stairs for a bit. My parents’ house is home base for now.

      Do you have 2 Tripawds?

  2. Welcome Home, Abby! It is nice to see you, rotated or not. Best wishes for a fast, painless, and beautiful recovery.

  3. Welcome home Abby. I am glad you are home 🙂
Get feeling better. Best advice rest while they rest. Try not to let them be too active when they get feeling better because it was a major surgery and over doing it can slow down the healing process. 🙂

Any questions don’t hesitate to post on the forums because sometimes the blogs go fast and we might miss them

    1. She’s already feeling better. Oh my goodness… This is going to be a long 2 weeks. The good news is we both slept from 9pm to 5am. It’s just like having a baby again.

I’m waiting for the stores to open so I can buy a baby gate for the laundry room. I’m finding I can’t get her in the kennel with the cone on. She fits – just not when she’s being stubborn. She would prefer the couch.

I just realized you’re the Rottie gal! Was Sassy a Rottweiler?

  4. Welcome home Abby!!! The first couple of days were a breeze and then we had some tough days so I hope that doesn’t happen with you all but be aware… it WILL get better! I am SO glad she (and you) slept through the night!!! Very good signs…

    Hugs and love!

  5. yay Abby, glad you’re home! Things always feel better when we are at home. Things can be a little ruff at first, but each day will be a little better. Hugs to you all
